9:00-11:30
Depart from the city gathering point. Along the way, the scenery is beautiful, and we are accompanied by a witty guide. Laughter and joy fill the journey. After an hour’s drive, we arrive smoothly at Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, which is known as the “Oriental Venice.” Most of the buildings in the ancient town were built during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The white walls and black tiles are simple and elegant, reflecting in the water with shimmering ripples, exuding tranquility and harmony.
We will take a black-roofed boat to start our waterway journey in the ancient town. Setting off from the dock and going downstream, we will enjoy the exquisite scenery of the ancient town and the charming views on both banks.

We will have lunch by the small bridge and flowing water, savoring local Shanghai delicacies.
12:30-16:00
After lunch, we will drive to Qibao Ancient Town. Qibao Ancient Town is a Jiangnan ancient town with a history of 1780 years. It was established in the Eastern Han Dynasty and flourished during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It not only has the natural beauty of Jiangnan water towns but also a long history and rich cultural heritage, serving as a “living fossil” of Shanghai’s history. The town is named after the Qibao Jiaosi Temple, which was named by an emperor of the Northern Song Dynasty, and has been preserved as a thousand-year-old ancient town. There are many delicious foods, interesting activities, and beautiful sights along the way. With the guide’s humorous and interesting explanations, we can also taste Qibao marinated pork, Qibao square cake, and braised mutton, which were loved by Empress Dowager Cixi. Friends who have a special appreciation for wine can also try Qibao Daqu to see the difference between Chinese liquor and foreign red wine.

We will take a vehicle back to the city gathering point. You can choose to continue your culinary journey at other city attractions or return to the hotel for a good rest, looking forward to our next departure!
